Franklin Senior Zach Dowell recently announced he will be continuing his football career at Tiffin University in Ohio next fall.
Dowell played on both sides of the ball for the Grizzly Cubs during his senior season. On defense, Dowell played linebacker and recorded 49 Solo tackles, 27 assists, and 4 tackles for loss. Dowell also had 1 interception with a return of 29 yards and 1 fumble recover for 43 yards.
On the offensive side of the ball, Dowell was one of the featured fullbacks and rushed for 676 yards on 94 carries resulting in 4 touchdowns. Dowell also had 5 receptions for 55 yards.
Dowell also spent some time returning kicks for the Grizzly Cubs. Dowell had 339 return yards on 17 kickoff returns.
