FCHS NAMES CHRIS COLL AS HEAD FOOTBALL COACH

30 Nov 2016 by Sean Little

The Franklin Community High School Athletic Department is excited to announce that Chris Coll has been named Head Football Coach. Coll comes to Franklin from Tri-West High School where he served as head coach for 11 years.

Coll will officially be introduced to the public following the School Board meeting Wednesday, November 30. Parents, players, and community members are invited to meet the coach from 6-7 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.

Coll has a total of 26 years of experience coaching high school football (15 years as an assistant coach and 11 years as head coach.) During his tenure, he has been a part of four state championship teams and 16 conference championship teams. He is a graduate of Franklin College.
“I am very pleased that Coach Coll will be leading our football program moving forward,” Director of Athletics John Regas said. “Coach Coll was impressive in his interviews and could not have been more highly recommended by his colleagues and the Tri-West administration.”
Coach Coll added, “My wife, three sons, and I are looking forward to joining the Franklin community. It was a difficult decision to choose to leave our lifelong home, but we believe in Franklin schools and the community that much. I’m ready to bring my years of experience and lessons learned as a coach and add them to a program that has already begun working toward success. There will be challenges, but I believe in our process. I am eager to start building relationships with the staff and students at FCHS.”

“On behalf of the FCS Administration, I would like to welcome Coach Coll and his family to Franklin,” Dr. David Clendening said. “He has a proven track record of success as a head coach. I am eager to see him lead this program.”
